10-week-old Sullivan Hahn is the smallest, but also one of strongest, Milwaukee Brewers fans out there.
Sullivan is from Kewaunee, and was born in a Green Bay hospital on January 20 at just 23 weeks. He weighed only 1 pound, 10 ounces.
Sullivan was transferred to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, where he has made great progress, according to the hospital communications team.
Thanks to care from the whole NICU team, he now tips the scale at 4 pounds, 4 ounces. He's cheering on the Milwaukee Brewers on Opening Day from his hospital room just down the road from Miller Park.
“From all the doctors and nurses at Children’s Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House, our family, friends, everything has been as supportive as it possibly can,” said Sullivan's mother Marissa. “We’ve never felt more supported and more loved than we have in this whole situation.”
Both Marissa and Sullivan's father Mitchell are teachers in the Unified School District of De Pere.
While Marissa has been staying in Milwaukee ever since Sullivan was transferred to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Mitchell continues to work full time.
Despite the commute, he has not gone a day without seeing his son, the hospital said.
