Medals returned to the family of a World War...

For some, service to our country passes on from family to family. That's what the Brickson family of Green Bay hoped to carry on with them, but there was one small problem: their medals were stolen.

Eugene Brickson served in World War II and was decorated with numerous medals, including a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. Those medals, stolen over 40 years ago, were lost.

Years later, the office of Wisconsin Representative Reid Ribble stepped in to help the Brickson family. Today, Eugene's son Chris received nine new medals today in an event.

The family says it is a great relief to them to have the medals back, even if they're not the originals. They believe Eugene would be happy.
