Thursday afternoon, Green Bay Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy and the Packers organization announced they have partnered to each make a $100,000 donation to the Green Bay Police Foundation.
The donations are matching grants. The Green Bay Police Foundation needs to raise an additional $200,000 in order to secure the donations from McCarthy and the Packers Corporation.
The Green Bay Police Foundation was founded in June 2016. They are a non-profit organization promoting excellence in area police departments and helps to improve public safety and partnerships in the community.
The donations from McCarthy and the Packers will be directed to support the Foundation’s efforts to build and enhance relationships between the police and the community.
