Wendy Gribben, a resident of Middle Inlet in Marinette, has announced her campaign for the 8th Congressional seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
A media release Friday afternoon states Gribben is "a progressive independent who believes everyone must be taxed fairly with those taxes used for the benefit of the Common Good, not just that of the privileged few."
Gribben has experienced the realities of losing a $60,000 a year job and living on $600 per month, according to the release. She's been married for 29 years to Kevin Gribben and is the mother of four and grandmother of one. She's lived in northeastern Wisconsin her entire life. She has owned a small business, served as a volunteer firefighter and full-time EMT, has more than 20 years experience in customer service and was a police communications operation supervisor for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
Gribben received a bachelor’s in history, politics and government from Ripon College and a master's in organizational leadership and quality from Marian University.
