The DNR is telling people not to let their kids or animals near Plum Creek. Manure runoff from a hayfield in northern Calumet County is impacting water quality as the creek flows north through the Town of Holland in southwest Brown County.

The DNR says small, dead fish have been found in the section from County K to County Z.

The contamination is expected to move north to the Wrightstown area.

10,000 gallons of water containing manure has been pumped out of the creek.

The DNR will continue to monitor water quality as the investigation continues.
