AP-- Authorities have recovered the body of a man from Lake Kegonsa near Madison.
Emergency responders pulled the man's body from the lake Monday afternoon about an hour after residents reported someone yelling for help from a boat.
McFarland Fire and EMS Chief Chris Dennis confirmed to the Wisconsin State Journal (http://bit.ly/1WE4Bne ) there were "no signs of life" when rescuers left with the body in a MedFlight helicopter about 3:45 p.m. Dennis says life-saving efforts were continued for some time, but were stopped before 6 p.m.
Dane County Sheriff's Lt. Kerry Porter says residents heard someone yelling for help from a boat about 200 yards from shore.
