The Manitowoc Police Department's Twitter account, @ManitowocPD is back online.
In early October the account was hacked and several inappropriate tweets were put out by the hacker(s) under the police department's name before the account could be shut down.
Through the reestablishment process, nearly all followers were lost, so the department is essentially starting over with the account, according to a department press release.
