Manitowoc Police arrest two burglary suspects

Manitowoc Police arrested two men on burglary charges after suspicious activity was reported Friday. 

The call was made around 3 a.m. on the 700 block of N. 5th Street. 

The caller reported seeing two men climbing up onto an exterior balcony. 

When officers arrived on scene, they found a 30-year-old Wausaukee man on the second story balcony.

A 25-year-old Brookfield man was found hiding in a bush. Officers had to use a taser to take the man into custody. He was carrying a prying tool. 

Officers found a vehicle parked on 5th Street near Huron Street with several valuable items inside. 

The 25-year-old is facing charges of Burglary, Possession of THC, Criminal Damage to Property and Possession of burglarious tools. 

The 30-year-old is facing charges of Burglary and Criminal Damage to Property. 

The Manitowoc Police Department encourages citizens to continue calling police when they observe suspicious activity. 

Manitowoc Police are asking everyone who lives in the area to report anything missing to the department.
