The man who jumped on a Menasha squad car on New Year's Eve was sentenced to six months in jail and four years probation Thursday in Winnebago County Court.
Cody Romano was found guilty of four counts of battery, including two counts for battery against a law enforcement officer.
Menasha Police said Romano, who had been drinking, charged at an occupied patrol car, expecting to be run over in the early hours of January 1.
When the vehicle stopped, Romano jumped onto the windshield, causing significant damage.
Romano fought with officers and tried to get them to shoot him, according to Menasha Police.
Instead, officers used a stun gun on Romano before taking him to a local hospital and then transporting him to the Winnebago County Jail.
