The driver who survived an icy plunge into the waters of Sturgeon Bay, knows he is lucky to be alive today. Dan Hill was able to pull himself to safety through his window in the knick of time before his Cadillac Escalade sunk after breaking through the ice. He was trying to move his shanty from the bay when it happened. It cost nearly $8,000.00 dollars to retrieve his S-U-V. The shanty survived, and he says he plans on taking it back out again next year.
