Woman appears in court for De Pere stabbing

UPDATE: Octavia Lindsey was in court Tuesday for a stabbing that happened on Monday in De Pere.

The judge agreed with the prosecution that the crime is serious in nature with an aggravated attack, even though the defense and suspect are giving two different accounts of what happened. This is Lindsey's first criminal offense.

The judge set bail at $50,000.

This crime is punishable by up to 60 years in prison if Lindsey is found guilty.

Lindsey is expected back in court next week.

De Pere Police are investigating an overnight stabbing that occurred in an apartment in the 500 block of North 10th Street.

A 39-year-old man received a potentially life-threatening stab wound and is being treated at a local hospital. A 25-year-old woman was taken into custody and faces a possible charge of attempted homicide. No other suspects are being sought. According to police this does not appear to be a random act and there is no threat to the public.
