The Manitowoc Fire Rescue Department helped save a man from the Manitowoc River on Sunday morning.
Officials said that a DNR worker called police and first responders found the man in distress, holding onto a tree branch by the river bank.
Officials said that water rescue personnel entered the water and helped get the man into a rescue boat.
He was transported to a local hospital.
