A man on a canoeing trip was able to reunite a man with a very unique item he had lost.

Elliot Fuller tells NBC26 he was visiting Lake Lucerne in Wabeno on Thursday with a friend, when they stopped to look at a beaver dam. Admiring animals in nature, Fuller snapped some photos.

At closer inspection, Fuller says it looked like there was a human foot near the dam. Shocked and surprised, Fuller paddled closer and saw that it was actually a prosthetic leg.

A quick Craigslist search verified that a man named Mark Warner had indeed lost his prosthetic leg in Wabeno after his canoe tipped over. He was offering a $50 reward for anyone who found it.

Despite the leg being chewed a bit, the group met up to make the exchange.

Fuller says the man was very excited to get his prosthetic leg back. He had a newer one, but had lost the model he used for hunting and fishing.

Warner says he lost the prosthetic about 2 weeks ago, and thought he would never see it again. A friend suggested posting online, hoping for a chance someone would find it.

Fuller says it's the strangest thing to ever happen to him, but he's glad he was able to help someone find something they were looking for.
