In court on Friday, December 9, Shannon L. Frantz pleaded no contest to first-degree sexual assault of a minor, resulting in his conviction.
According to a criminal complaint, on June 24, 2016 an Oshkosh Police officer responded to a call at Pollock Community Water Park.
After arriving, the officer discovered the pool manager was holding an older man suspected of touching girls in the pool.
The suspect, identified as Frantz, was taken into custody.
The complaint goes on to say that a few days later, a man found a GoPro camera in his yard and turned it into police.
While attempting to find the owner of the camera so it could be returned, investigators discovered video evidence that led to Frantz being charged.
The complaint says that the video showed Frantz exposing his genitals in the pool and touching an 8-year-old girl inappropriately.
At the end of the same video clip, Frantz's face is shown looking directly into the camera, according to the complaint.
A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for February 6.
