An 83-year-old man found pinned under the wheel of his car has died, according to our partner in Madison.
Police said the south Madison man died Sunday at about 8 p.m. on Pine Street after he became trapped beneath the wheel of his car.
According to reports the car's hood was up, and it appeared the man had been working on it when it began to roll from his driveway toward the street.
Investigators said it's believed he was trying to stop the car when he became pinned.
A neighbor told police the victim was having parking-brake trouble and had been placing a block of wood under a tire to prevent it from rolling.
