Manitowoc Police say a man has injuries after crashing his boat into South Pier.
According to police, this happened Friday just after 9:00 p.m. When officers arrived, they say they found a 26-foot cabin cruiser boat located partially up on the pier, with significant bow damage.
Police say the driver of the boat, a 56-year-old Two Rivers man, was taken to the hospital for injuries. He was arrested for Operating a Motorboat While Under Influence of Intoxicant.
Police say the U.S. Coast Guard search and rescue team, stationed in Two Rivers, also responded to the crash and helped with the removal of the boat from the pier, and towed it to the Manitowoc marina were it was removed from the water.
