Here's something you definitely don't see...ever: a panda riding a sportbike.
But that's what Minnesota drivers witnessed when they saw this man in a panda costume driving recklessly on Highway 101 and I-394 in the Twin Cities area.
Is that a panda head? On someone riding a sport bike? Yes, it is. This is not safe! Make sure you can see & be seen. https://t.co/ZkWPGQXMqM pic.twitter.com/ZR5qishatw

Initially, drivers on Highway 101 called 911 to report the rider because his vision seemed to be obstructed by the panda head; he was weaving through traffic and riding no-handed, Minnesota State Patrol posted on Facebook.
The "panda" exited the freeway before a trooper could get to it.
On August 31, dispatchers saw the same rider on traffic cameras on I-394, troopers said.
They pulled the rider over and cited him for reckless driving.
"A panda head will not protect you in a crash like a DOT-approved helmet would," Minnesota State Patrol wrote on Facebook.
The rider told them he was hoping to go "viral" with his riding videos.
