An Appleton man was arrested over the weekend for allegedly stabbing his roommate.

Anderson Dotson, 64, of Appleton, was charged with first degree reckless injury in Outagamie County court Monday.

On Friday around 9:30 p.m., Appleton police responded to the parking lot of a business at Wisconsin Ave and N. Oneida Street after a 50-year-old man walked into the business with a stab wound.

The victim told officers information that led them to his apartment on the 1300 block of N. Oneida Street, where they arrested Dotson without incident, according to police. He was treated for minor injuries.

Investigators determined an argument inside the apartment had escalated into a physical fight.  During the fight, Dotson stabbed his roommate in the stomach, police said.

Paramedics brought the 50-year-old man to a local hospital for surgery, and he was still in the hospital Monday, police said.
