MANITOWOC, Wis-- A 38-year-old man is in jail after driving his car through Washington Park.

It started around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday at the basketball courts.

The 38-year-old was in a fist fight with a 20-year-old man, arguing over a woman.

The 38-year-old walked off, and shortly later returned with his vehicle. He drove into the park, and circled the south end. Police say it appeared to be an effort to strike people.
Several people had to run out of the way, even onto picnic tables to avoid being hit.

The driver left again, but returned on foot. At this time he was arrested by Manitowoc Police.

He is being held on charges of Recklessly Endangering Safety. He has also been prohibited from entering into all Manitowoc parks for one year.

The 20-year-old was also cited for Disorderly Conduct.

Nobody was struck or injured by the hostile driver.
