The Brown County Sheriff's Department reports that on December 9 at approximately 9:30 p.m. a 16-year-old man was approached in a vehicle by a stranger looking for drugs.

The incident, which deputies say escalated quickly, took place at the Bellevue Trailer Park located at 1331 Bellevue Street.

Authorities say the stranger threatened the boy with an AR-15.

The boy reported that he feared for his life and believed that the stranger was about to shoot him.

The Brown County Sheriff's Department says the boy fled to a nearby gas station, but the suspect followed him.

The suspect was reportedly observed with a handheld video camera while at the gas station.

Surveillance footage from the gas station captured the suspect's vehicle which has been described as an older red/maroon colored sedan.

Authorities say the boy was able to flee the gas station and summon police.

The suspect is being described as a white male in his 40's or 50's with a skinny build and graying stubble facial hair.

He was wearing a dark beanie-style hat and may have also been wearing glasses.

The suspect had a distinct accent, possibly Russian, and may have also been accompanied by a child who was approximately 10-years-old at the time of the incident.

The Brown County Sheriff's Office is asking for anyone who may be able to assist in identifying the suspect to come forward with information.

The suspect is also asked to come forward and identify himself so that a complete and accurate version of these events can be ascertained.
