GREEN BAY - Police have arrested a man for allegedly setting a Green Bay business on fire with children inside the building.

In a criminal complaint released to NBC26, police say 18-year-old Jesus Castilloveitia-Quinton persuaded four children under the age of 10 into the building before setting the fire just before 9 p.m. Sunday night.

A criminal complaint says Jesus Castilloveitia-Quinton took the children into the vacant building, calling it his "secret hideout."

Once inside, two of the children told police he kicked and punched them, according to the complaint. It says he then poured bleach on the floor and began lighting the building on fire with a torch.

He told the kids "this is for your own good," according to the complaint

The children told police they ran out of the building when they heard sirens.

Police say a K-9 officer followed Castilloveitia-Quinton as he ran from the fire, catching him a few blocks away. The complaint says he asked the officer if the kid were okay, and told police he wanted the kids "to go to a better place." He also allegedly told officers he was out on bond.

The kids did escape unharmed.

The club was not open when the fire started and the second floor apartments were vacant at the time. Damages are estimated to be around $100,000.

Castilloveitia-Quinton is facing several charges including two counts of child abuse, arson, obstructing an officer and bail jumping.

He is expected in court September 6th.
