Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in Green Bay is getting ready for their big walk at Lambeau Field in October.
And they’re getting started early. Wednesday, they held their annual kickoff breakfast, showing their sponsors and biggest supporters what they can do to help fight the terrible disease.
For this year's event, the group is expecting to raise nearly $180,000 and have around three thousand people attend the walk in October.
“It’s just a way for them to come and be empowered to do something to fight back and just show our support for all of the breast cancer survivors in our community and show them that were here for them and we're doing something to fight this disease,” said Kristen Herbes, Senior Community Development Manager with the American Cancer Society.
NBC26’s Cassandra Duvall and Jon Erickson will be taking part in two fundraising campaigns for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event.
