11 organizations across the state are receiving nearly $500,000 in grants to grow entrepreneurship in Wisconsin.

On Tuesday, Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch awarded $25,000 to the Oconto County Economic Development Corporation. The money will support a mentor network and ongoing coaching.

"In order to allow those inventors and innovators to have the training they need in order to take their business ideas to the next level, these grant dollars are pretty essential in a community of this size," said Lt. Gov. Kleefisch.

The Center for Enterprise Development in Fond du Lac also received a grant worth $40,000 from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
