The LPGA Classic is expected to bring a big economic boost to Northeast Wisconsin. Managers at Thornberry Creek say they're expecting anywhere from 50,000 to 70,000 people to watch the tournament with more than 140 golfers competing.

The golf course's COO says hosting the tournament also helps long term.

"This is going to be locally televised by NBC Sports and the Golf Channel. You can see it in 400,000,000 households across the world and 76% of the countries, so there is going to be a spotlight on the Green Bay market, Oneida and Thornberry Creek, so people are going to be like, 'I never knew they existed, but now I know they exist,'" said Josh Doxtator.
