There are many needs for Hurricane Harvey victims in Texas, and a critical one is for blood and blood products.
The Community Blood Center in Appleton has begun shipping blood to depots in Texas and said Wednesday it will continue to do so as long as there is a need.
They are encouraging people to come donate blood to help fill the need.
"Doing a blood donation is simple and easy and it's local, and yet it still has an impact on the people impacted by the hurricane," said Kristine Bellanger with the Community Blood Center in Appleton.
The blood types needed most are O Positive and O Negative
