GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — This Friday, the YWCA of Greater Green Bay is holding a virtual peace event to fight racism.

Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy and his wife Laurie will be the special guests, uniting with other community members taking a stand against racism.

Organizers talked about how the event came about.

"If our mission is a dedication to eliminating racism and empowering women, promoting peace and justice and freedom and dignity for all, what kind of event would capture that? And that's actually where Peace on Earth Begins with the End of Racism was birthed,” said CEO of YWCA Greater Green Bay, Renita Robinson.

NBC 26 is a proud sponsor of the event which takes place this Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. Learn more by clicking here.
