GREEN BAY — The YMCA kicks-off its "Girls Night Out: Summer Edition."
It's a one-week program designed specifically for middle school-aged girls. The week will be filled with activities from Zumba and hula hoop, to charades and metal stamping on jewelry.
One of the goals of the program is to help the girls build self-esteem.
"I just think this program is amazing for these girls. I think it's just the perfect age. I remember when I was a middle schooler and how lost I felt, and this program is just the way to boost them up and make them feel good about themselves," said Tanya Goen, Youth Development, YMCA.
The program runs this week from noon to five at the Ferguson Family YMCA in downtown Green Bay.
