WITTENBERG, Wis. (NBC 26) -- A Wittenberg woman was brought to the hospital after an alleged stabbing in Shawano County.
It happened just before 11 p.m. on Tuesday on Highway 45 in the Town of Wittenberg.
According to the Sheriff's Office, they received a 911 call stating the 34-year-old woman had her throat cut by a 31-year-old Hortonville man.
The investigation shows the woman was driving a vehicle with the man and her 4-year-old daughter as passengers.
A passerby picked up the woman and her daughter and brought them to a safe location.
The two were brought to a medical facility for treatment.
The man was found on the scene and is in custody at this time.
The incident remains under investigation.
