TOWN OF MAPLE GROVE (NBC 26) — A woman died early Sunday morning after her vehicle crashed into an overpass along Highway 29, according to the Shawano County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to the single-vehicle crash at 12:18 a.m. on St. Augustine Street in the Town of Maple Grove.
Officials said a preliminary investigation shows the driver was heading eastbound on Highway 29 when she drove into a ditch, up the embankment and into the St. Augustine Street overpass.
The drive, a woman from the Town of Angelica, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said the incident is under investigation.
