TOWN OF SEYMOUR (NBC 26) — A woman has died after crashing into a tree Wednesday evening in Outagamie County.
The Sheriff's Office said it happened near County VV and Vanden Heuvel Road in the Town of Seymour.
A 50-year-old Nichols woman was driving when she missed a curve in the road and hit a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies said she was not wearing her seatbelt and believe dense fog was a contributing factor. The road was closed for about five hours last night but is now back open. They're still investigating as of Thursday morning.
