REEDSVILLE — A crash that killed a 31-year-old woman is under investigation in Manitowoc County. Deputies responded 3:22 a.m. Sunday to a crash on Highway 10/Main Street east of Highway W.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff says in a news release that a woman was walking westbound on the south side of Highway 10 in the village of Reedsville, when she was hit by a 2007 Chrysler 300 sedan heading eastbound.
The woman, identified as Joanna Harrell, was airlifted to a hospital for life-threatening injuries. She later died from injuries sustained from the crash. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, the sheriff's news release says.
The driver and his passenger were not injured. The crash remains under investigation, according to the Sheriff's Office. The Manitowoc Sheriff's Office, Manitowoc Coroner's Officer, Manitowoc County District Attorney, and Wisconsin State Patrol are investigating this case.
