GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- With frigid temperatures hitting Green Bay this week, the Salvation Army in Green Bay announced it's opening a warming shelter.
The Salvation Army Green Bay Corps Community Center will operate as a place for anyone seeking refuge from the cold. It will open 8:00 am – 4:30 pm throughout the winter on any day when the temperature, actual or wind chill, is below zero degrees. The Salvation Army says those seeking warmth may use the chapel located at 626 Union Court.
The Salvation Army is also offering a hot meal in their noon lunch program. The Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay noon lunch program runs Monday through Friday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
