MANITOWOC (NBC 26) — A Wisconsin resident is collecting relief donations for people in Louisiana affected by hurricane Laura.

Manitowoc resident Theresa Fessler said a trailer will be parked in Manitowoc at the Lowe's Home Improvement parking lot near the Lawn and Garden section. She will be accepting donations like gas cans, bug spray, batteries, toiletries, and tarps from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Fessler said she has lived in northeast Wisconsin for 20 years but is originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana.

According to Fessler, all donations collected Sunday will be brought down to Louisiana on Friday. She adds they will not be accepting clothing, blankets, or dishes as they are in a clean-up phase, and "are not needed at this time."
