MILTON, Wis. (NBC 26) — For the first time in 72 years, Wisconsin's first virtual dairy breakfast was held Saturday morning.
The virtual breakfast took place place in Milton, Wisconsin at Abigail Martin's farm, this year's Alice in Dairyland.
Martin said while people can't have the traditional Dairy Month experience, they decided to bring it to you. Saturday's event toured the farm, had a cheese board demonstration, played dairy trivia, and even shared a few recipes.
"We wanted to make sure we still had a chance to recognize our hardworking dairy farmers and processors," Martin explained. "Because June is National Dairy Month and we want to celebrate that work."
