Those who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits will soon be able to use them to make online food purchases; however, a date for when this will start has yet to be determined.

Online orders will only be allowed at approved locations. Delivery and other fees associated with getting the food to your home will not be covered by SNAP.

There are 572,000 people that receive SNAP benefits in Wisconsin.

Currently, 15 states allow their residents to use their SNAP benefits online. Eight more states, including Wisconsin, have been approved to do so but no date has been set for when it will begin.
