The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation has identified two other officers who were involved in the Aug. 23 police shooting of Jacob Blake.
One of the two additionally named officers had used his Taser against Blake during the incident before Blake was shot. The other officer was present at the shooting.
The DOJ said that Kenosha Police Officer Vincent Arenas had deployed his Taser at Blake when officers were attempting to arrest him. Officer Rusten Sheskey had deployed his Taser prior to Arenas.
Blake was then shot seven times in the back by Sheskey, as he attempted to get into his vehicle. The DOJ says Sheskey was the only officer to shoot his gun.
During the investigation, Blake admitted to having a knife in his vehicle. A search of his vehicle found no other weapons.
The DOJ also identified Officer Brittany Meronek, who it says was also present at the scene.
Blake is recovering in a Milwaukee hospital. Earlier this week, Blake's father said Blake was paralyzed from the waist down.
The DOJ said the officers involved had been placed on administrative leave.
