Winter Parking Ban goes into effect in Manitowoc tonight

MANITOWOC (NBC 26) — With accumulating snow in the forecast for tonight, the Mayor of Manitowoc is asking residents to help snow removal crews. A Winter Parking Ban has been declared in Manitowoc for overnight Tuesday night, Dec. 29, into Wednesday morning, Dec. 30.

A Winter Parking Ban will be in effect overnight from 1:00 a.m. – 6:00 a.m. In a news release from the city, Mayor Justin Nickels has declared there shall be no parking on the Winter Parking Ban streets (salt routes which include bus and truck routes, arterial streets, State Highways, and County Trunks within the City’s jurisdiction).

Drivers are asked to seek alternative parking on non-restricted streets. Tickets will be placed during the Winter Parking Ban. Winter Parking Ban fine is $50.00.
