Winnebago County authorities ask for help identifying people seen with guns in video

NEENAH (NBC 26) — The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office is asking for assistance in identifying any of the people in a security video, some of whom are seen holding guns.

On July 10, the sheriff's office said authorities got a call around 4:20 a.m. that multiple people had entered the Peppermint Hippo with semi-automatic handguns and later fled the scene.

According to the sheriff's office, a witness reported that there was a large group of people located in the after-hours portion of the establishment when an argument broke out and guns were displayed. The sheriff's office said the witness reported two males brandished firearms, and that their group fled the scene in a vehicle. No shots were fired.

The vehicle was last seen traveling southbound on Green Valley Rd. The vehicle is described as a Generation 3 (2017 or newer) black (possibly dark blue) Chevrolet Equinox with what appears to be an out-of-state plate (possibly Illinois).

The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office is asking for assistance in identifying any of the five males in the released video. Additionally, anyone else that may have information regarding the disturbance is asked to please contact Detective Randy Woldt at (920) 236-7368.
