OCONTO, Wis. (NBC 26) -- It has been a tough year for some. More folks than ever are antsy to get in the holiday spirit a little earlier than usual.
One area tree farm is opening their gift shop this weekend.
Preparations are underway at Whispering Pines Tree Farm in Oconto.
A group of ladies has been making holiday decorations together for years.
Each year they make 200 kissing balls and 500 wreaths.
In the midst of thousands of ornaments there are a few for sale to represent what's going on in our lives right now.
You'll find a masked Santa, hand sanitizer and even toilet paper so you can trim the tree pandemic-style this year.
"In 20 years looking back you can say, 'oh yeah 2020 that was a year to remember,'" said Carolann Yeska, one of the owners of Whispering Pines Tree Farm.
There's the possibility that folks could go all out this year stocking up on new decorations and dressing up several rooms throughout their homes.
"If people aren't going out and about they're going to be home more so they want to make sure it's decorated," said Yeska.
Everything in the gift shop is set up with social distancing and safety in mind.
The gift shop opens this Saturday, November 7th.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until Thanksgiving.
They'll open an hour earlier starting the day after Thanksgiving. That's when the wagon rides begin for people heading out to cut their trees.
