DE PERE (NBC 26) — The West De Pere School District has confirmed one of its staff members tested positive for coronavirus.
District Superintendent Dennis Krueger said they're working closely with the proper health department to ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are being followed for all involved.
Last week, the school board approved bringing kids back in-person with enhanced safety protocols for the school year; but virtual lessons are an option.
There's no information as to what type of role this staff member plays, but Krueger said it will not impact the first day of school set for September 1.
