GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Voter turnout trophies were awarded by Project VOTE of Brown County. The town of Glenmore and the village of Suamico are the latest winners in the Voter Challenge. The two municipalities had the highest voter turnout percentages in their respective categories for the April 6, 2021 election.
The town of Glenmore had a turnout of 53.9% of registered voters to win the Green Division trophy for Brown County municipalities with populations below 10,000. The voter turnout in the village of Suamico was 37%, the highest percentage among the larger municipalities that make up the Gold Division. It’s the first Voter Challenge victory for Glenmore and the fifth win for Suamico.
“Congratulations to Suamico and Glenmore for their Voter Challenge wins,” said Glen Tilot, Project VOTE chair. “We also want to thank everyone for their efforts to cast ballots and run another election during the pandemic. It’s vitally important to understand the important right and responsibility of the election process in our country.”
Project VOTE of Brown County issues the voter challenge each election as way of encouraging informed voter turnout in the county.
