MANITOWOC COUNTY (NBC 26) -- Manitowoc County authorities have identified a Valders man who died after he was thrown from his pick-up truck in a crash.
The Sheriff's Office said 26-year-old Brandon Lee Schroeder was driving westbound Saturday on County Road JJ when he lost control and went into a ditch. The truck crashed with a utility pole and overturned. Schroeder was thrown from the truck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Manitowoc County Coroner Curtis Green said the cause of death is due to traumatic head injury and other blunt force traumatic injuries. The Sheriff's Office stated in a news release that Schroeder was not wearing a seat belt. Authorities also said Schroeder had alcohol in his system.
The crash is still being investigated.
