DODGE CO. (NBC 26) — Law enforcement reported a fatal two vehicle crash that sent three people to the hospital Saturday afternoon.
The Dodge County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened on STH 60 near Jefferson Road in the Township of Rubicon, about three miles west of Hartford.
After an initial investigation, deputies said a small SUV driven by a 40-year-old Neosho man was headed eastbound when the driver lost control and crossed the center line into the westbound lane. A pickup truck driving westbound crashed into the car. The pickup was driven by a 50-year-old Horicon man with his 11-year-old son as a passenger.
Deputies said the 40-year-old Neosho man was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The other driver and his child were treated and released from the hospital.
The Sheriff's Office said road conditions, blowing snow, and wind were all factors in the crash. This crash is still under investigation to determine any other contributing factors. No further information has been released at this time.
