Two vehicle crash on I-43 sends two to hospital Saturday night

SHEBOYGAN CO. (NBC 26) — Law enforcement reported two vehicles involved in a high-speed crash that sent two people to the hospital with serious injuries Saturday night.

According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office, the two vehicle crash happened on I-43 north in the area of Foster Road in the Town of Holland.

First reponders said one vehicle occupied by two Manitowoc people was located in the east ditch. Both people had non-life threatening injuries that were assessed on scene.

After a time of searching, deputies said they found the second vehicle in the west ditch of I-43 south, approximately 3/10 of a mile north from where the crash happened. The vehicle was occupied by two Sheboygan people who had serious injuries.

The Sheriff's Office said the passenger was taken to a local hospital and the driver was transferred by Flight For Life to Froedtert Medical Center in Milwaukee.

Deputies said impairment is believed to be an issue. This crash is still under investigation.

No further information has been released at this time.
