ALGOMA, Wis. (NBC 26) -- Two people were found dead inside of a Kewaunee County home Friday evening.
Kewaunee Co. Sheriff's Department says a caller asked for a welfare check at a home in the Township of Ahnapee. The caller said they had not hear from an acquaintance who lived there for a few days and was concerned.
Upon arrival, deputies say they attempted to contact the people in the home with no response. They then looked through a window of the home and saw two individuals on the floor.
Deputies say the bodies were a 71-year-old man and 56-year-old woman. There was no one else in the home at that time.
Officials say there is no threat to the community.
This incident remains under investigation with the assistance of the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation.
