MARION, Wis. — Three men have been arrested in relation to a fatal explosion.
43-year-old Kenneth Niemer and 38-year-old Robert Mattest are accused in the death of a 44-year-old Illinois resident, who was hit by sharp metal after an explosive went off at a home in Marion. A third man who was arrested has not been identified.
Investigators say the metal tubing in the device failed, causing an explosion. Mattest and Niemer were arrested Monday for Homicide by negligent handling of dangerous weapons, explosives, or fire.
Authorities have not released the name of the victim.
