GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- Two men suspected in a triple homicide may be in the greater Green Bay area, according to authorities.

Khamthanet Rattanasack and Nya Thao are wanted in connection to the killing of three men in far western Wisconsin last week. It is believed that both suspects may be armed, according to the La Crosse County Sheriff's Office.

As previously reported, the sheriff's office says the bodies of 24-year-old Peng Lor, 24-year-old Nemo Yang and 23-year-old Trevor Maloney were discovered shortly before 5 a.m. Friday by two workers of the Milestone Quarry.

The quarry is located near West Salem, about 14 miles (23 kilometers) northeast of La Crosse, which is along the Minnesota border.

According to the sheriff's office, the victims were shot at the scene. Evidence recovered indicates at least one handgun was used. The sheriff's office said a vehicle identified as a 2005 Mercedes-Benz “S” sedan was believed to have been used during the homicide. That vehicle was recovered abandoned in eastern Brown County, east of Green Bay, this past weekend.

Investigators in La Crosse County and other counties are actively working on the investigation along with the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation. If anyone has information regarding the location of the suspects, they are asked to call their local law enforcement agency emergency number. They can also contact the La Crosse County Sheriff’s Office at 608-785-9629, non-emergency dispatch at 608-785-5942, or Crime Stoppers at 608-784-8477 (TIPS).

The two suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
