GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- A Green Bay family donated a 50-foot blue spruce tree to display at Lambeau Field during the Festival of Lights celebration.
Crews harvested the tree Monday morning from a home on Sunnymede Lane. The Packers said Duane and Judy Fritz of Green Bay donated the tree from their yard.
According to the Packers, the tree will then be taken to Lambeau Field where it will be erected by Miron Construction on Harlan Plaza for the Festival of Lights event and decorated throughout the week.
The 2019 Festival of Lights celebration at Lambeau Field is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 7.
