FOND DU LAC (NBC 26) — Three people are without a home after a fire Monday night in Fond du Lac.
It happened at 188 S. Park Avenue just before 11 p.m. at a 2-story residential structure.
Fond du Lac Fire Rescue said there were heavy fire conditions when they got there, but thankfully everyone got out safe and no one was hurt. Crews were able to put the flames out, but not before it caused significant damage inside making the house uninhabitable.
The Red Cross is assisting the three people who lived there. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Tuesday, crews will be handing out fire safety literature and offering residential fire inspections in the neighborhood to help educate people living in the area.
