GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- Many people in northeast Wisconsin are tired of this wet weather, especially those who work outside.

For weeks and weeks now, we have been dealing with torrential rainfall. The crossing guards who spend their days helping kids stay safe are tired of it.

When the bell rings at wilder elementary, students by the dozens are crossing the street. When it rains, school won’t get cancelled, which means the crossing guards are out here toughing out the elements to do their job.

Bob Sellisson has worked at a crossing guard in Green Bay for 30 years. He says he has toughed out all types of weather conditions, but according to him, the rain this time of year has never been this bad. He loves his job but hopes for some drier days.

"It just happens, you know it just happens,” said Sellisson. “You are in Green Bay, you take the weather as it is."

In terms of any issues with flooding. Brown County Emergency Management say they are monitoring areas but don't have anything to report.
